Hello My Name Is...
Krista Byrd
This is my 15th year in education, and every year brings new challenges and surprises my way. I graduated from Francis Marion University with a BS Degree in Early Childhood Education and began my teaching career in Darlington as a kindergarten teacher. I taught there for 3 years before coming to Latta. In Latta I taught 4 and 5 year old kindergarten before becoming the Assistant Principal at Latta Early Childhood Center 5 years ago. I earned my Master’s Degree in Educational Administration at Argosy University and am currently working on another Master’s Degree in Instructional Leadership. I am married to Garrett Byrd, and have two children, William and Reavis. I appreciate each day that I get to come and work with these wonderful children and am thankful for the support of our teachers, district office staff and most importantly parents.
