Mrs. Little's First Grade Class!
Welcome to First Grade! I am so excited to be working with you and your child this year. This is my sixth year teaching. I taught Special Education for 2 years in Abbeville, SC. I am starting my fourth year teaching First Grade in Latta. I have a Bachelor's degreee in Early Childhood and Special Education from Erskine College, and a Master's of Education from Southern Wesleyan University. I am happily married to Coach Little at Latta Middle/High School, and we have a new baby boy, Zane. I am looking forward to getting to know you this year!

This week’s work…
This week, we will begin working on an animal research project that will last several weeks. Please see the letter sent home on Monday for more details. The first part will be in-class, and the second part will be completed at home.
Homework
Homework will be passed out on Monday and due each FRIDAY. Please check your child’s folder each week for their homework. Homework should not take more than 10-20 minutes per night at this age. If you find that it is taking longer, please speak to me so we can discuss what will work best for your child.
